Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping done for you. Month-end closed on schedule.

Your Bookkeeper looks after your books as the foundation of your finance function. Delphi AI codes and checks transactions in the background, and you approve anything that moves money, so every number your business runs on can be trusted.

  • A dedicated bookkeeper, a message away, who knows your business and answers on the platform.
  • Every transaction coded and reconciled, not saved up for a quarterly catch-up.
  • P&L, balance sheet and BAS from reconciled books, prepared by a registered BAS agent.

Your chart of accounts

Books kept for the ATO, not for you.

Most books are kept to get the BAS lodged. Every transaction is coded and reconciled, so the file looks clean. But all your income sits in one line, half your costs land in “General admin”, and the numbers you actually run the business on live in a spreadsheet next to Xero. The books are correct. They just can’t answer a question.

We start with your chart of accounts.

Before the first close, your team sits down with you to work out what you need to know: revenue by service line, costs by team, whatever drives your decisions. Then we set up your chart of accounts around it, so every month’s books answer those questions without the spreadsheet.

What you get every month

The monthly scope, numbered and specific.

Six deliverables every month, specified like a product. If it is not on this list, we agree it before it is in scope.

Bookkeeping · monthly deliverables Included in your flat monthly fee

Transactions coded and reconciled

Every bank line matched to an invoice, a bill or a rule.

Month-end closed on schedule

A close timetable agreed with you and kept, so reporting lands when you expect it, every month.

Profit and loss, and balance sheet

Delivered with the close, in plain English, in the shape you actually read.

BAS prepared by a registered BAS agent

Prepared from reconciled books, reviewed and signed off before it reaches you, by Visory as a registered BAS agent.

Debtors and creditors, visible

Who owes you and what you owe, current whenever you look.

Answers from a named bookkeeper

Your questions go to the person who keeps your books, on the platform, with the context already loaded.

And what is not included: income tax returns, audits, sending your invoices and paying your bills. Invoicing and bills are accounts receivable and accounts payable, separate services on the same platform, added only when you want them.

Why change

Stop finding out in August what March was trying to tell you.

Most businesses do not have a bookkeeping problem. They have a timing problem: the coding piles up between BAS deadlines, so every number arrives months after the decision needed it.

Doing it yourself

The founder closes the books.

  • Sunday-night coding: the ledger competes with the business for your attention.
  • Month-end when the quarter forces it: the BAS deadline is the only close date that holds.
  • Guesswork codes: whatever gets the bank feed to zero.
  • Numbers you hesitate to use: you know where the shortcuts are buried.
The part-time bookkeeper

One person, when they have the hours.

  • Task-based hours: your backlog queues behind every other client.
  • A single point of absence: their week off becomes your month behind.
  • Records without a rhythm: accurate entries, but no close date anyone commits to.
  • Questions wait: answers arrive when they are next in.

Visory runs the close as an operating rhythm, not a catch-up.

The work Coded and reconciled continuously

Transactions matched as they land, not at quarter end.

The close Month-end on schedule

A close timetable agreed with you, kept every month.

The engine Your Bookkeeper, with Delphi AI behind them

Your Bookkeeper owns the books and signs off the close; Delphi AI codes and checks the routine work in the background.

The fee One flat monthly fee

No timesheets, no hourly billing, no surprises.

The books being done and the numbers being usable are different jobs. Visory does both.

One system, five services

Your team runs the work. Delphi AI prepares and checks it in the background.

Every Visory service runs the same way: a dedicated client team, Delphi AI under their oversight, and one platform where you can see all of it.

  • A dedicated client team. A Business Performance Partner, a Manager, a Bookkeeper and a Payroll Officer: named people who know your business.
  • Delphi AI, with human oversight. Delphi AI prepares and checks the routine work in the background, and your team oversees every service.
  • One platform. Questions, approvals and the state of the month in one place, and anything that moves money is authorised by you.

The same system runs bookkeeping, payroll, payables, receivables and Visory Insights. Only the work changes.

Why bookkeeping first

Trust every other number, because this one is right.

Bookkeeping is the foundation of your finance function. When every transaction is coded and reconciled, every number built on top of it can be trusted: the pay run that matches the roster, the BAS that matches the ledger, the margin you act on in your monthly session.

Get this layer right and the rest of the function stands on it. Skip it, and every report inherits the gaps.

The compliance layer

Registered BAS agents, in writing.

BAS is not a side task bolted onto the books. At Visory it is prepared from reconciled books by a registered BAS agent, reviewed, and signed off before it reaches you.

  • Visory is a registered BAS agent
  • BAS prepared from reconciled books, not estimates
  • Reviewed and signed off before it reaches you

Months behind, or years? No judgement.

A catch-up is scoped into onboarding, so Visory starts from reconciled numbers. You get a clear scope before anything starts, and the backlog is worked while the current month stays current.

The monthly rhythm

Run every month to the same rhythm.

The close is a rhythm the service keeps, month after month: the work, the close, the brief, the session. Here is March for Harbour Studio, end to end.

1 to 31 March Coded and reconciled as they land 384 transactions matched by close
Month-end The close Closed on schedule On the timetable agreed with you
With the close The Insights brief Gross margin 64%, up 2.1 points since January, against a 60% target
Thursday 9 April The session 9:00 to 9:45am with your Business Performance Partner

The brief and the session are Visory Insights, part of the same rhythm.

See how Visory works in practice

In their words

What changes when the books are handled.

Having Visory as a flexible partner to handle our day-to-day has meant real relief for our CFO. From an economies of scale perspective, the outsourced model is cost-effective compared to bringing someone in-house, and the handoff to our external accountant for tax has been noticeably smoother than it was before.

Pricing

Know the cost before you start.

One flat monthly fee for the scope we agree. Nobody here bills by the hour.

A scope agreed up front

What Visory runs each month is written down before you commit, so the fee is attached to a defined scope, not an estimate of hours.

A fee that moves with scope, not hours

No timesheets. The fee reflects the services you take and the volume of work in your business, and it only changes when the scope does.

An estimate before you talk to anyone

Common questions

Get straight answers on bookkeeping.

What CEOs, managing directors and founders ask before they hand over the books.

What is included every month?

The six deliverables above: transactions coded and reconciled, the month-end close on an agreed timetable, profit and loss and balance sheet, BAS prepared by a registered BAS agent, current debtors and creditors, and answers from your named bookkeeper on the platform.

How does pricing work?

One flat monthly fee for the scope we agree, with no timesheets and no hourly billing. The fee reflects the services you take and the volume of work in your business, so you know the cost before you start. Choose the services you need on the pricing page to see an estimated monthly fee.

Do we keep our Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks file?

Yes. Your books stay in your own accounting file, and the file stays yours. Visory works inside the systems you already use, and any change to your setup is agreed with you before we start.

Our books are months behind. Can you catch us up?

Yes, and it is common. A catch-up is scoped into onboarding so Visory starts from reconciled numbers: you get a clear scope before anything starts, and the backlog is worked while the current month stays current. Months behind or years behind, no judgement.

Who does the work: software or people?

Both, in a fixed order. Your named bookkeeper owns the work. Delphi, Visory’s AI, prepares and checks the routine coding in the background, with anything unusual flagged to your bookkeeper. The close is signed off before it reaches you, and anything that moves money is authorised by you. The judgement calls always sit with people.

Are you registered BAS agents?

Yes. As a registered BAS agent, Visory prepares and lodges your BAS from books that are already reconciled, and it is reviewed and signed off before it reaches you.

What is the difference between a bookkeeper and what Visory does?

A bookkeeper records what happened. Visory runs the function: the same work, done continuously, closed on a schedule, kept visible on one platform, and handed back once a month as a plain-English read on what to do next. You are not buying hours of processing; you are buying a month that closes. Weighing it up against a hire? Compare the ways to get your books done.
