About Visory 6 questions

What does Visory do?

Visory runs the finance function for growing services businesses across Australia: bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, run end to end by a dedicated team you know by name, with Delphi AI working under their oversight. Once a month, Visory Insights tells you what changed, what it means, and what to do next. A performance conversation, not a dashboard.

Isn't this just bookkeeping with reports?

No. Reports tell you what happened. Visory Insights tells you what it means and what to do about it. Monthly or quarterly, your Business Performance Partner walks you through three things in order: what changed in your numbers, what it means for your cash, margin, or capacity, and the one move worth making next. You still get the reports, on schedule. What you are paying for is the conversation that turns them into a decision.

Who is Visory for?

Visory works best with established services businesses and organisations of roughly $750k to $20m in revenue, led by a CEO, managing director or founder who is accountable for results. That includes professional services firms and agencies, franchise networks, NDIS and care providers, and other payroll-heavy operations. Big enough that finance admin is eating leadership time, not yet ready for a full in-house finance team. If you are making decisions about cash, growth or hiring without a clear read on the numbers, you are in the right place.

Which industries does Visory work with?

Visory is built for organisations that sell time, expertise or care, where wages are the biggest cost. That spans professional services firms, marketing and creative agencies, architecture and design practices, consultancies and legal practices, as well as franchise networks, NDIS and care providers, and other payroll-heavy operations. Visory is not limited to those sectors. If your month runs on people, invoices and payroll, the model fits.

Where is Visory based, and who is behind it?

Visory was founded in Melbourne in 2022 by Thomas Paule and Jordan Bevans and has offices in Melbourne and New York. It runs the finance function for growing businesses across Australia, New Zealand and the United States. In 2024, LinkedIn named Visory one of its Top 20 Australian Startups.

About Visory

The service, month to month 7 questions

Who does the work, and will we deal with the same people?

Every Visory account is run by four named roles: a Business Performance Partner who is accountable for everything delivered and walks you through your Insights monthly or quarterly, a Manager who runs the service day to day, a Bookkeeper, and a Payroll Officer. Behind them sits a shared bench of payroll and bookkeeping technical leads and insights specialists. You know your team by name, and they know your business.

How your partner works

What do we have to do each month?

Five things. You approve each pay run, you approve bills before they are paid, you give us authority to retrieve documents wherever possible, you answer the occasional query from your team through the platform, and monthly or quarterly you sit down with your Business Performance Partner to work through your Insights. Everything else, from coding transactions to chasing invoices, is handled for you.

What is in Visory Insights each month?

A plain-English monthly report, a structured session with your Business Performance Partner, and early sight of the trends, risks, and opportunities in your numbers. Each insight follows the same shape: what is happening, what it means for you, and what to do next. If gross margin moved two points, you hear what caused it, what it costs you at your run rate, and the one move worth making before next month.

How does Visory handle supplier bills?

Bills are captured and coded as they arrive, checked against what has already been paid, and lined up for your approval. Delphi AI flags duplicates and anything unusual in the background, and your team follows up each flag. Nothing is paid until you say so, and payment timing is managed against your cash position, not just the due date.

See how accounts payable runs

Does Visory chase our unpaid invoices?

Yes. Invoices go out from your system on schedule, payments are tracked, and overdue accounts get a structured follow-up: a nudge drafted and checked by Delphi AI, sent by your team in your name once you approve, then escalated on a cadence you agree. You see who has paid, who has been nudged, and what is coming, and you keep the client relationship.

What happens with payroll, super, and BAS?

Your Payroll Officer runs payroll every cycle. Delphi AI prepares and checks the routine work in the background, you approve it, and it is paid and reported through Single Touch Payroll on or before payday. Super is calculated with every pay run, so it can be paid within the seven business days Payday Super has allowed since 1 July 2026. Your quarterly BAS is prepared from books that are already reconciled.

Delphi AI and your data 4 questions

Does Visory use AI to do the bookkeeping?

Yes, in the background, with your team in charge. Visory's AI, Delphi, prepares and checks the routine work: coding transactions, preparing pay runs, checking each bill against what has already been paid, and spotting the patterns in your month. Your dedicated team runs the work and oversees every step, and every payment is authorised by you. Delphi never acts on its own.

How Delphi AI and your team share the work

What does Delphi AI not do?

Delphi AI does not move money, file anything, or send anything. It prepares and checks: coding transactions, drafting pay runs, matching bills, flagging what looks wrong, and preparing the analysis behind your Insights. It works in the background for a named team who run your work and oversee every step, and payments are authorised by you. Delphi works for your team. It never works alone.

How does Visory keep our financial data secure?

Your books stay in your own Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks file, which you own, and Visory's team works inside it with access limited to the role each person holds, so the people who run the work are never the people who approve it. Client data is hosted on Amazon Web Services in Australia and encrypted at rest with AES-256. Every payment is authorised by you, and nothing is filed, paid, or sent outside your team's oversight.

Pricing 3 questions

How much does Visory cost?

Visory charges one flat monthly fee for the scope we agree. No timesheets, no hourly billing, no surprises. The fee reflects the services you take, from bookkeeping and payroll to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and Insights, and the volume of work in your business, so you know the monthly cost before you start. The pricing page shows how a quote is built.

See how pricing works

What happens to the fee as we grow?

The fee is tied to the scope we agree, so it only changes when the scope does. If your transaction volume climbs, your headcount grows, or you add a service, your Business Performance Partner re-scopes the work with you and confirms the new monthly fee before it applies. It never moves quietly on an invoice.

Can we start with bookkeeping and add payroll or payments later?

Yes. You can start with bookkeeping and Insights and add payroll, accounts payable, or accounts receivable when you are ready. Each service is run by the same team, on the same platform, in the same monthly rhythm, and each is scoped and priced before it starts.

Getting started 4 questions

We already have a bookkeeper. Why would we move to Visory?

The books being done and the numbers being used are different jobs. Visory does both. Your bookkeeping still gets done, by a Bookkeeper and a Payroll Officer on a dedicated team, and that same team hands the numbers back each month as a plain-English read on where the business is heading and what to do about it. If your current bookkeeper keeps clean books but nobody explains them, that gap is what Visory is for.

See the real comparison

Our books are months behind. Can Visory take us on?

Yes. A clean-up of your books is scoped into onboarding, so Visory starts from reconciled numbers rather than building on a backlog. Your team reviews the chart of accounts, brings the ledger current to an agreed point, sets up payroll and bank feeds, and runs the first pay run alongside you before the first month-end close. How long that takes depends on the state of the books, and you get a clear scope before anything starts.

How do we get started, and what is the free financial health check?

Start with an obligation-free discovery call about your goals and what you want the numbers to tell you. Then a senior member of the Visory team analyses your financials, free of charge, and shows you where your finance function can improve: that is the free financial health check, on your own numbers. If it makes sense to go further, you get a clear proposal on a flat monthly fee for the scope we agree. You see the clarity before you commit to anything.

Book a discovery call

What does onboarding involve?

Onboarding runs in five steps: a kick-off where your team gets access and the scope is agreed, a review of your chart of accounts and reporting, clearing the items the health check found, setting up the platform (bank feeds, expense capture, and payroll, with a parallel run and a supported first pay run), then go-live and your first month-end close. Your Business Performance Partner runs the kick-off, and you get a walkthrough of the platform before go-live. There is no fixed timeline, because the state of your books sets the pace.

Something we haven't covered?

Ask it on a discovery call. We will listen first, then show you what your own numbers have been trying to tell you.
